So my basement has a large escape window, with a nice cover on it, since my bedroom is down there. Twice now in 6 days a baby bunny decided to jump down into it, with no way out. The first morning I woke up to find it there chilling. Last night at 4am my cat dove off the bed and jumped up in the window. Yep, bunny.
It’s not difficult to get the bunny into a shoebox and then carry it outside, just slightly annoying. I also decided to wait until morning to rescue the one today, because going outside at 4am is not my idea of fun.

I was going to ask if it was properly covered, but clearly it is, so (s)he/they must be pretty determined to get down there. I’m not sure my kitties would know what to do with themselves.

Just let your cat out. This issue should resolve itself at that point.

So when is the rabbit stew going to be done?

There’s a tiny gap from the metal being flat and the lid slanting down. So they have to get in under the lid, over the metal and in that space. And it’s a good 8” off the ground!

Oh I guarantee my cat would poo himself and then run away if he actually came into contact with one. He’s just the ferocious hunter on the other side of the glass.

Just put the on loop whenever it happens.

Ha, I’d imagine mine would be the same way if they ever came face to face with one, or a mouse, etc.
